Most schools require their students to wear uniforms and are a lot more modest than they used to be by allowing girls to wear pants etc. at most schools now. My 11 year old daughter is about to start a new school and the girls are allowed to wear either a skirt or culottes and pants in winter.
If a school has culottes as part of its uniform you should differently get your daughter to wear them. They are practical, modest and makes the wearer still look like they are wearing skirt. You will be happy to know your daughter is covered for all situations.
For those of you who don't know what culottes are they are basically a pair of girls shorts that have a skirt like appearance to them. Below I've got pictures of the culottes my daughter will be wearing for her uniform.
